Louise Deal

Louise Deal was born in Dallas, Texas (USA), graduated from the University of Washington as a Master of Music in vocal performance. During her studies she trained at the San Francisco Opera and the Metropolitan Opera of New York and she won a number of international prizes.

During her 15-year career as soprano soloist she appeared with the Seattle Symphony, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Florida Philharmonic and the Limburg Symphony in Maastricht. Some time ago Louise stopped performing as a soloist – but “searching for that old joy of choral singing” she took a choral conducting course at Maarstricht Conservatory with Ludo Cleassen. She graduated in 2002 and extended her activities as a private singing teacher to become Musical Director of Women’s Vocal Ensemble Sirena in Eindhoven (Netherlands). She conducted the ensemble for five successful years.
